The 2014 awards celebrated an outstanding year in this vital and increasingly high-profile architectural sector. Leading architect and keynote speaker Richard Murphy took to the stage at the beginning of the night to discuss both his work and the work of the legendary Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa.

Allford Hall Monaghan Morris was crowned the overall winner of the night, winning both the International Innovation and Retrofit of the Year awards for their University of Amsterdam project.

At the after party, guests enjoyed live music and tried their luck at the casino in aid of the Prince's Trust. Visit our Flickr Site to see photos from the night.

Congratulations once again to this year's winners and finalists in demonstrating the sheer level of innovation and skill evident in retrofit architecture and design.
