Product Innovation
This category rewards a product which has demonstrated value to the retrofit market by its contribution to energy saving, and ease of installation This award is for a product aimed specifically at the retrofit market which has resulted in a project or series of projects delivering improved performance or helped make a new design solution possible. The entry should demonstrate how the product led to increased performance, durability, safety or competitiveness during a retrofit project. The judges may wish to take into account the research strategy that led to the development of the product and its sales success to date. Where relevant, judges will reward the use of recycled material or energy saving. Products manufactured in the UK by overseas companies are permitted, as are products researched and developed in the UK, but manufactured overseas. Entries from companies undertaking research and development for a client may enter jointly with the client. |
